Residential Construction

Welcome to the Residential Construction program of AEC. Our fully-owned construction company (BHC LLC) engages students in the construction of homes from footings to finish carpentry that are sold upon completion. The homes provide the perfect laboratory for hands-on practical experience in the building trades. AEC provides the following construction-related diplomas:

  •  Diploma in Residential Construction                       (36-Week Program)
  •  Diploma in Advanced Residential Construction*   (36-Week Program )
           *Residential Construction Diploma is a prerequsite for this program.

About AEC

Amundsen Educational Center (AEC) is a faith-based non-profit, educational and vocational training school located in Soldotna, Alaska.  

AEC is authorized by the Alaska Commission on Postsecondary Education and accepts the Alaska Performance Scholarship. We offer comprehensive vocational training to students of all ages, cultures, and walks of life. 

We have two primary diploma programs in Residential Construction and Advanced Residential Construction.
